I was born in 1973 and brought up in North Sweden. At 15 years of age I attended college of Art, then I studied painting at private art schools in Umea and Gothenburg. I also studied pedagogy and art history at university and I have taught oil, acrylic and watercolour at evening classes.
I've had numerous exhibitions in Sweden and a few successful solo shows in London, UK where I have lived since 1999. I work from home where I have my studio. I like working on my own, my studio is a very private space; but I love taking my art to exhibitions where I can meet plenty of people.
I enjoy making unique colour combinations and I use a mixture of mediums; acrylic, oil, gold leaf and collage. The subjects of my paintings come from within and are inspired by my own life. I use symbols like angels, lions, foetuses, keys, birds... to describe and celebrate the world around me. Every painting that I create is very special and personal to me.

When I was 17 I was diagnozed with crohn's disease, a cronic bowel disorder and when I turned 22 I struggled to beat cancer, which I have overcome. I have also experienced how wonderful it is to have a child.

Because I have been through a serious illness I like to think that I see life a bit differently and that my personal journey has made me more aware of how wonderful life is and how lucky I am...

I don't take life for granted...
